POLICE investigators are still trying to determine the motive in the killing of a public utility jeepney (PUJ) driver at Tiano corner Echem streets, Cagayan de Oro City, Tuesday night, February 12.

Police identified the victim as 28-year-old Cynth Allan Joseph Sullado, resident of Purok 2C, Gusa, Cagayan de Oro City.

Initial investigation disclosed that the victim was driving his RD-Gusa liner jeepney when the unidentified gunman got off and suddenly shot the victim.

The suspect reportedly boarded the jeepney from Barangay Lapasan and sat in front beside the victim's wife.

The victim succumbed to four gunshot wounds to the head. He was rushed to the nearby Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) but was declared dead on arrival.

Investigators recovered an empty cartridge of a caliber 45 pistol from the victim's jeepney.

The barangay security personnel said they did not know it was the suspect who reported to them that a shooting incident happened, which prompted them to respond to the crime scene.
