THE counsel of David Chua Lim Jr., suspect in the shooting of a nurse over a traffic altercation in Cebu City, said they are offering P300,000 to the person who can produce the full video of the road rage incident in Barangay Kamputhaw last Sunday dawn.
Lawyer Orlando Salatandre said the video that was uploaded in social media showed only a portion of the incident.
Salatandre said he will withdraw as Lim's counsel if the complainant's accusation is true.
Lim Jr. shot Ephraim Nuñal last Sunday, March 19, after being engaged in a verbal fight. The argument escalated into a fist fight that resulted in the shooting incident.
The suspect said he acted in self-defense when he saw Nuñal's companions getting out of their vehicle.
Salatandre asked the public not to judge and condemn his client, saying Lim Jr. is still presumed innocent.
Lim Jr. is the son of David Lim Sr., who figured in a road accident that killed a fish dealer in Archbishop Reyes Ave., Cebu City last March 4.
He is also the nephew of businessman Peter Lim, who is tagged as drug lord by President Rodrigo Duterte. (SunStar Cebu/With SunStar Philippines)
