Suspect in killing of Australian surrenders

AFTER three days of hiding, the suspect in the death of an Australian businessman living in Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental voluntarily surrendered to Councilor Jeorge Largado of Kabankalan City.

Robert Flores, 19, surrendered to the authorities Wednesday through the help of a local radio station. He was turned over to the Kabankalan City Police Station for custody yesterday afternoon.

Flores stabbed 74-year-old Warren Hill inside his house at Sitio Ilahod, Barangay To-oy last Saturday after they had a heated argument when he learned that the suspect was planning to sleep with his female co-worker.

Hill confronted and then fired him prompting him to stab his employer with a double bladed knife.

Flores, in a radio interview, said he surrendered because he fears for himself although no charges were filed against him yet. (GYM)
