Nietes all set against Thai rival

REIGNING WBO Intercontinental flyweight champion Donnie “Ahas” Nietes (39-1-4,22KOs) is 100 percent ready against Thai Komgrich Nantapech (22-3-0,15KOs) for the vacant IBF world flyweight crown in the main event of the Pinoy Pride 40: Donnie-Nation at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino on April 29.

Nietes, who hails from Murcia, Negros Occidental, has been in tough training and promised to give a good fight and performance for the boxing fans. However, the longest reigning Filipino champion stressed that he can’t predict what round he will stop Nantapech, but if given a chance, he will go for it.

Magsayo will face Tanzanian Issa Nampepeche (24-7-4,11KOs) while Santisima will be up against Indonesian Master Suro (11-8-1,2 KOs).
