Drug suspect shot dead in Silay

A DRUG personality was shot to death by an unidentified man at Antonio Luna Interior, Barangay Mambulac in Silay City, Negros Occidental Thursday night.

Superintendent Willy Diel, chief of Silay City Police Station, identified the fatality as Jun “Bong Bong” Guillargan, 40. He was allegedly a drug user and pusher.

Investigation showed that Guillargan was standing near a sari-sari store when the assailant fired at him around 9:40 p.m. He did not reach the hospital alive.

Diel said the victim’s neighbors heard the gunfire, but nobody saw the gunman.

Recovered were a deformed slug and another slug of an unknown firearm.

The victim’s death is being linked to illegal drugs, Diel said.
