Davao City man sued for slay try

A MAN faced charges after he allegedly attempted to kill his neighbor at Purok 7 in Barangay 31-C in Davao City last March 14, Tuesday.

Charged with attempted murder is Butch Cabanes Jordan, a resident from Purok 8-A. He is currently detained at Sta. Ana Police Station.

In a resolution approved on March 27, prosecutor Victoriano Bello found probable cause to charge the accused based on a complaint filed by Florencio Guadalupe Sacro Jr.

Police record showed that the complainant was having a drinking session with his friend named Eddie on March 14 at 7:30 p.m. when the latter had an argument with someone.

The complainant ignored what he had heard since he was not involved in the trouble. He instead drove his tricycle on his way home when the accused suddenly stabbed him on the back.

Sacro hurriedly ran towards the Jacinto police outpost to ask police assistance. He managed to pull out the knife from his back then he was rushed to Southern Philippines Medical Center.

Bello said he finds the accused liable for the charges filed against him based on the complaint filed by Sacro, who was attacked from behind. He added that the accused committed attempted murder.
