'Drug pusher' killed in Cordova police shootout

A SUSPECTED drug pusher was killed in a shootout with the police at 12:55 p.m. Saturday, April 1, in Sitio Ube, Barangay Cogon, Cordova town.

The police identified the fatality as Ricardo Ando who resisted arrest and fired at the authorities who conducted the drug bust.

He was rushed to Lapu-Lapu City District Hospital but failed to reach the facility alive.

Authorities seized a loaded handgun, ammunition, and small sachets of shabu (crystal meth) from the suspect. (SunStar Philippines)
