Mother, son fall in drug bust in Lapu City

POLICE caught a woman and her son during a buy-bust in New Paradise, Pajo, Lapu-Lapu City at 2 p.m. last Saturday.

Suspects Nilda Briones Rulida, 54, and Alfredo Briones Rulida Jr., 30, yielded 50 sachets of suspected shabu to the operatives of City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) and Police Station 3.

The contraband weighed two grams and had a Dangerous Drugs Board value of P23,600. Chief Insp. Mark Sucalit, CDEU head, said his office is determining where the suspects sourced their supply. Drug-related charges will be filed against the suspects today.
