Drug bust ends in shootout, leaves suspect dead

SUSPECTED drug pusher Ricardo “Ading” Ando was killed in an alleged shootout with the police in Sitio Ube, Barangay Cogon, Cordova, Cebu at 12:55 p.m. last Saturday.

He allegedly resisted arrest during a buy-bust and started to shoot at the operatives, who retaliated and hit him.

Ando was listed fourth among high-value targets operating in the municipality. He died before reaching the Lapu-Lapu City District Hospital. Ando yielded a loaded .45 pistol, a magazine, a box containing bullets, and eight sachets of suspected shabu valued at P2,000.
