19 gambling machines seized in Duljo Fatima; owner escapes

POLICE seized 19 illegal gambling machines in Barangay Duljo Fatima, Cebu City at 7 p.m. last Monday.

SPO4 Rene Cerna said they confiscated 17 video karrera and two moli-moli machines in the interior part of the barangay.

The owner of the machines and players were not caught, said Cerna, chief investigator of Cebu City Public Safety Company (CCPSC).

A team from CCPSC was patrolling the barangay when a resident told them about the presence of the banned devices.

The players scampered in different directions when they saw the police.

Cerna said they are investigating to determine the identity of the owner.

At 5:30 p.m., a 33-year-old man was arrested for allegedly engaging in an illegal numbers game in Barangay La Purisima, Bogo City.

Police identified the suspect as Marlon Armodia Laroga, a resident of Barangay Tipolo, Medellin. He was arrested by the team led by SPO4 Reynaldo Condes Rosaceña.

The evidence recovered from the suspect includes a masiao tip sheet and a stub with different number combinations.
