TWO drug suspects were killed by unidentified men in separate incidents Sunday, April 2, in Negros Occidental.
In Bacolod City, a suspected drug runner was gunned down around 5 a.m. at Purok Sigay, Barangay 2.
Chief Inspector Benedicto Villarias Jr., head of Police Station 2, identified the victim as Anthony Tenebroso, 25, of Cadiz City, Negros Occidental.
Tenebroso was drinking coffee outside his rented house when the assailant fired at him. He sustained a lone gunshot wound on his stomach and was pronounced dead at a hospital.
Recovered from the scene was a slug of .45 caliber pistol.
Meanwhile, a drug surrenderee was shot by two unidentified men on a motorcycle at Purok Humayan, Barangay Cartagena, Sipalay City.
Police records showed Elben Tolentino, 33, of Purok Humayan was outside his house when the assailants fired at him around 4 a.m. He succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds.
The police recovered from the scene three cartridge cases and four live ammunition of .9mm caliber.
In another development, construction workers Joergie Umali, 19, of Basay City, Negros Oriental; Edgar Sacate, 43; and waitress Mary Jane Ulgasan, 39, of Sitio Manuling, Cauayan, Negros Occidental were shot by an unidentified man inside a KTV bar at Northbound Terminal Sunday in Barangay Banago, Bacolod City.
Police Station 3 Head Larry Teovisio said the man entered the bar that led to a misunderstanding with a group of five persons.
The group boarded a tricycle and chased him, but one of them returned and fired several shots.
The victims were not involved in any commotion, but they were hit, Teovisio said.
They sustained minor injuries, and were already discharged from the hospital.
