Janitor shot dead in Negros Oriental

A JANITOR was shot by two unidentified men Wednesday, April 5, inside the Avocado Elementary School in Barangay Talalak, Sta. Catalina, Negros Oriental.

Police identified the fatality as Junney Cabugnason, 40.

Village chief Edmar Bigay told the police he was at the vicinity of Avocado Elementary School at about 6 a.m. when he saw two unidentified men firing their gun and shouting that they are members of New People’s Army.

Cabugnason was cleaning when the two men fired at him and fled, the police said.

The victim sustained multiple wounds and died on the spot.

Recovered from scene of the crime was an empty cartridge of .45 caliber. (MAP)
