Antique governor urges vaccination of dogs

SAN JOSE DE BUENAVISTA, Antique -– Antique Governor Rhodora Cadiao is urging dog owners to avail of the free vaccination conducted by the Provincial Veterinary (ProVet) Office.

Cadiao said the ProVet received 4,000 vials of anti-rabies vaccines from the Department of Agriculture, which could vaccinate 40,000 dogs.

The governor also urged the vaccination of dogs as the province is hosting the Palarong Pambansa on April 23 to 29, which is expected to attract 15,000 people, including athletes and coaches, from the different regions of the country.

As of Tuesday, athletic delegations from five regions have arrived in the province. They are from regions Bicol, Mimaropa, Northern Mindanao, Soccsksargen, and Ilocos.

ProVet chief Dr. Romeo Magdatu earlier requested the vaccines from Agriculture assistant secretary Hansel Didulo so they could conduct massive dog vaccination. (PNA)
