Police screen online applications in Eastern Visayas

THE Philippine National Police (PNP) regional office in Tacloban City has started screening the online applications of 1,020 junior police officers in line with the 2017 recruitment program allocated for Eastern Visayas.

PNP Regional Director Elmer Beltejar Tuesday, April 11, said the online recruitment is the first time in the history of the PNP.

He added that this will ensure that the database of those who applied is readily available.

The 800 quota is allocated exclusively for Public Safety Forces while the remaining 220 is allotted for the attrition quota.

Applicants are advised to access these two websites: www.pnporas.pnpdprm.com and www.recruitment.pnpdrpm.com. The websites will be active until April 28.

The minimum requirements for the police officer recruitment are printed letter-reply or corresponding reference number confirming the scheduled appointment, two recent colored 1x1 ID pictures with white background and complete name tag, transcript of scholastic record with special order issued by the Commission on Higher Education or diploma, and birth certificate issued by the local civil registrar or Philippine Statistics Authority.

The applicants must pass the psychiatric, drug and physical tests to be administered by the PNP, must be 21 to 30 years old, must have no pending criminal case or criminal conviction, and must be civil service eligible. (PNA)
