IT SEEMS there is truth to reports that television host-actress Toni Gonzaga and director Paul Soriano will tie the knot on Independence Day, June 12.
ABS-CBN corporate communications said in an email on Thursday that the couple's wedding special will air on Saturday, June 13, a day after the rumored celebrity union.
Dubbed as "Perfect Together: Paul and Toni's Wedding Special," the show will look back at how the two met almost a decade ago and how the director/producer courted the television host for nine months.
It also promises the viewers and fans a glimpse of the couple’s special day.
Among those expected to be part of the June wedding are Gonzaga's sister, Alex, who will be the maid of honor, Mr. Pure Energy Gary Valenciano, who played a big role in the couple's meeting, and boxing champion and Sarangani Representative Manny Pacquiao, whose life story was directed by Soriano in biopic "Kid Kulafu."
ABS-CBN also said Gonzaga and Soriano enlisted the help or Rita Neri, a noted wedding coordinator, to stage the private event.
Neri's notable projects include Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo's wedding in Batangas and Charlene Gonzales and Aga Muhlach's nuptial in Baguio City.
Gonzaga is reportedly walking down the aisle in a Vera Wang bridal gown while Soriano will don a Hugo Boss suit.
"Perfect Together: Paul and Toni's Wedding Special" will air on Saturday right after "Maalaala Mo Kaya" on ABS-CBN. (Sunnex)
