TESDA allots 126 slots for trainees in Mountain Province

THE Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) has allotted 126 slots for Mountain Province in its Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP) this year.

Allotted for the Provincial Training Center in Sabangan are 18 slots for Trainers Methodology Level I; 14 for Carpentry NC II; 12 for Electrical Installation Maintenance (EIM) NCII; and 11 each for Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) NCII and Masonry NCII.

Mellicynth Yodong of the TESDA provincial office said there are five slots each for Wheel Loader NC II and Hydraulic Excavator NCII under heavy equipment operation which are offered at the Trinidad Valley Institute of Technology (TVIT) in La Trinidad, Benguet, and 5 slots for Slaughtering Operation (Butcher) NC II available at the MMS Development Training Center in Baguio City.

There are 45 slots for Bread and Pastry Production NC II  at the Tadian School of Arts and Trades (TSAT) in three batches. The first batch has already started training.

Under the program, TESDA pays the schools for training its scholars. Juliet B. Saley
