Elderly couple killed in fire

A FIRE razed a house and killed two elderly around 1 a.m. at Isarog Street, Central Park Subdivision, Bangkal, Talomo in Davao City.

Rescuers from the Central 911 filed a report stating that Nerio Roperos, 83 and Carmen Roperos, 73, died in a fire that razed their house.

In an investigation conducted by the Bureau of Fire Protection, Nenita Rosales, neighbor of the victims, said that she heard a loud explosion.

The firemen declared fire out an hour after the fire incident started.

The cause and amount of damages inflicted by the fire is yet to be determined.

The bodies of the victims were brought to Collado Funeral Parlor for autopsy and for proper disposition. (Julie Anne Lira Almoite, NDDU Intern)
