Napolcom names NegOcc’s best police stations

THE National Police Commission (Napolcom)-Western Visayas has named the best city and municipal police stations in Negros Occidental and in Bacolod City during the exit briefing at the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Noppo) and Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) Tuesday.

The awarding ceremony was led by Napolcom-6 Regional Director Marte Palomar.

Senior Supt. Samuel Nacion, officer-in-charge of Noppo, said Thursday Talisay City Police Station led by Supt. Joeresty Coronica was named as the Best City Police Station followed by San Carlos City Police Station led by Supt. Victorino Romanillos as first runner-up.

Sipalay City Police Station led by Chief Insp. Luisito Acebuche placed second runner-up.

In the municipal level, Pulupandan Municipal Police Station led by Senior Insp. Allan Reloj was named as the Best Municipal Police Station.

Murcia Municipal Police Station led by Senior Insp. Norberto Barniso was ranked first runner-up while Isabela Municipal Police Station led by Chief Insp. Ramil Sarona was named second runner-up.

Nacion said the police station chiefs were judged based on their performance during the annual inspection, management, audit, and monitoring of Philippine National Police conducted by Napolcom last April.

He said some police stations were found lacking patrol cars and has some deficiencies in office management.

In Bacolod City, Supt. Armando Tubongbanua, deputy city director of operations of BCPO, said Police Station 7 led by Senior Insp. Jeffrey Attunaga was named Best Police Station.

It is followed by Police Station 1 led by Senior Insp. Richard Fajarito and Police Station 8 led by Senior Insp. Carmelo Nermal as first and second runners-up, respectively.
