Escalante cop loses service firearm

THE service firearm of a policeman was stolen by an unidentified man at Panaad Park and Stadium in Mansilingan village, Bacolod City, last Wednesday, April 26.

Police records showed that Police Officer Nash Arellano, 30, went to his billeting place at the second floor of Escalante City booth after his tour of duty.

Arellano, who is assigned at Escalante City Police Station, put his bag beside another policeman, who was sleeping.

Around 11 p.m., he discovered that his bag containing his government issue .9mm Glock 17 pistol firearm, rig belt, Philippine National Police cap, and towel were already missing./(GYM)
