HONDA Philippines, the leading motoring firm in Asia, launched last Friday, April 28 its first flagship shop in Mindanao.
Located at Barangay Buhangin, Davao City, the newly-opened flagship shop showcased all the company’s product line.
It also boasts a spacious 360-square-meter showroom, 750-square-meter riders’ lounge at the third floor, cozy customer lounge with Wi-Fi connection, a service center and a 1,000-square-meter driving course, where customers can try the company’s motorcycle models.
The flagship shop is the second of its kind in the country, the first being in Cebu City. Another flagship shop is eyed to be launched middle of this year in Manila.
Desmark Inc. was awarded by Honda as the operator of the Mindanao’s flagship shop.
Honda Philippines Deputy General Manager Sunday Julaton said in an interview with Sun Star Davao, the opening of three flagship shops is aligned with the company’s direction: match new product models with new shop concept.
“We aligned the network to follow new models, it needs new way of selling the motor, it should be more convenient for customers, riders,” he said.
He added the riders’ lounge can host meetings and parties for its customers.
Desmark Inc. vice president for operations Maricris Du Lopez, in a separate interview said the shop offers complete services, one common thing riders and customers look for in every motoring shop.
At present, Desmark has been operating over 130 branches nationwide, some 80 of which are based in Mindanao.
“Of the 137, a total of 34 are Honda exclusive shops,” she added.
Desmark, Inc. is also spearheaded by Mark Allen Du and Marvin Ken Du. It has been operating since 1988.
During the launching, Honda and Desmark offered free service and oil for the first 100 customers. Also, buyers on that day were given free cellphones.
