PMAers, beauty queen lead ‘Cong Dadong’ awards

LUBAO -- Two top Philippine Military Academy (PMA) graduates and a beauty queen led the awardees of the Third “Cong Dadong” Awards for Outstanding

Lubenians in rites held Friday, May 6.

Second Lieutenant Carlos Emmanuel Canlas, 2nd Lt. Ma. Semiona Sheika Balsamo, and Miss Global International 2016 first runner-up Camille Jensen Hiro led Outstanding Lubenians awardees.

Other awardees were Jonathan Matias Guzman, who died last July in a shooting incident in San Diego, California, once an SK Chairman (Post-

Humous); Paul Renzo Velo (Youth) won as Mr. Tourism International Philippines 2017 and Gentleman of the Philippines; Amable R. Aguiluz V (Education) also a Moka awardee 2016; Mercedes Arrastia Tuazon (Government Service) Moka Awardee 2016 and former Philippine Ambassador to the Vatican; Jose Paule Roman and Antonia Sampang Roman (Parenthood); Segundo Matias, Jr. (Youth Service) also a Palanca Awardee for Literature; Maria Teresa Toloza MD (Arts and Culture) Dermatologist/Poet; Arvin Pangan (Sports) Sepak Takraw bound to the SEA games; and Honorio Miguel (Agriculture).

Former President and now Pampanga Representative Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo and Lubao Mayor Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab led the awarding ceremony of the 12 Outstanding Lubenians in different fields.

Pineda-Cayabyab urged awardees to continue being an inspiration to every Lubenian.

"Kekayu ngan pung tanggap galal ngeni sana pu ituluy yu ing kayapan a gagawan yu at ituru kareng kekayung susunud a salin lahi para aliya mawala keti Lubao reng mayap a susuyu keng balen. (To all of you honored today, we hope you continue your good deeds and teach the next generation these goodness so those who serve well will stay in Lubao) Congratulations ngan pu kekayu," Cayabyab said.
