CHARGES were filed before the City Prosecutor's Office (CPO) against a man who stabbed his brother to death last December 13, 2014.
Facing homicide charges is Ernesto Ubsuban Boticario Jr.,36, of Barangay Malabog in Paquibato District.
Prosecutor Gaye T. Canete found probable cause to charge Boticario based on the complaint filed by PO3 Luther Napoles and the statement of Police Officer 1 Fernand Andan.
Based on the affidavit, the respondent voluntarily surrendered himself to the Malabog Police Station for having killed his brother, Jover Boticario.
The night before the incident, Ernesto together with his father reportedly having a drinking session with one Romel Moquino Piguras when Jover, who was already drunk at that time, threatened the respondent that he will kill him. Piguras then told Ernesto to leave Jover alone and sleep in their house.
The next day, Jover went to Piguras' house threatening Ernesto once again which led him to stabbing the respondent that caused his death.
The case is now at the Regional Trial Court-Office of the Clerk of Court and was raffled last Thursday.
