The young venturer

SHAUN Patrick B. Po, 26, is one of the millennials of our generation with a wide ideas and entrepreneurial conception. He finished Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (IT) at STI. After his graduation way back 2014, Shaun explored and use his course to endeavor in different employment field, he tried to be as data analyst and IT support in different computer-related companies. However, he didn’t stay long at one company. He realized maybe employment was not for him and he explored more opportunities in different fields. He also tried to venture in business.

Shaun is the eldest of three siblings. His mother is a nurse and his father was engaged in transportation business before the whole family decided to migrate to United States of America. Shaun at that time was very excited on his new challenges in his life, to try his luck in different country and to succeed.

Unfortunately, Shaun had been tested. Without him, all of his family members were approved by the embassy. When he heard the news, his life at that moment was full of discouragement. His family had no choice, but to continue to endeavor their plan. Since both parents already started it and even though it was very hard, they decided that Shaun will be left here in the Philippines. It was a very hard decision for his parents but it was a chance they had to take.

It’s a blessing that Shaun stayed with his aunt who has a good entrepreneurial background. His aunt owns one of the leading local brands of bags in the country. Shaun was able to recover little by little from one of the saddest point of his life and trained slowly to adapt the entrepreneurial mentality.

As of the moment, Shaun is very busy on his online business with different furniture that can be useful for kids' toys, book shelves and other home accessories as organizer. He can be a good help for business that engaged with kids, like nursery and kindergarten schools and even in pediatrician clinics that need to organize things.

He is also engaged in bee farm business at Bukidnon, with his business partner cousin. They are providing 100% pure honey with the brand name “City Bees Honey” with two types, the dark and light yellow honey at a very affordable price.

Shaun taught me how to take care of the bees. In my experience, it’s not that easy because of the high risk that you will be stung by the bees. You need to be careful at all times, but the wait is all worth it with the delicious honey provided by the bees, just be patient.

Shaun recently went to China to venture new business ideas and introduced us his new items. So let’s watch out his new products to offer at his online shop, Budoy goods, and Crafty Kiddos toy shop. You may also contact him through his mobile number, 0977-844-0487.

Like Shaun, challenges are always present, but we should not be discouraged easily, for as long as we’re happy on what we’re doing with perseverance, determination and good heart. We might not know, if we fail today, tomorrow will be a successful one.

Failures and success are partners of life, the most important thing is that we have learned along the way and just continue with our goals.
