Martin Nievera lauds Kapampangans at Laus concert

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- Filipino singer, songwriter, and actor Martin Nievera took to Twitter the other day praising the Kapampangan audience who flocked to the Laus Group Event Centre at the LGC Boulevard, Laus Group Complex for the top balladeer's concert.

Nievera praised the audience for their wonderful reception and for being punctual.

“To all those who were at the Laus Group Event Centre in Pampanga, not only were you an amazing audience: you were on time too. At 7:59 everyone was in their seats ready to go. What a sight to see, especially where I was standing. Thank you very much,” Nievera said.

“Martin Nievera, Live in Pampanga!” was literally a standing room only concert last Friday night, with the huge crowd a mix of millennials, the young once and the young at heart.

Nievera, with his quick wit and golden voice, truly captured the hearts of all those he has enchanted with his songs from way back in the 80s and new covers, backed up by his son Robin. The all-around performer, in his first gig at the Laus Group Event Centre (LGEC), repeatedly expressed awe at the concert venue.

“Oh, this is awesome! This Laus Group Event Centre is really great and I never even knew something like this existed in Pampanga!” he said.

Nievera also thanked DwRW 95.1 FM and Mitsubishi Carworld, as well as BDO, for bringing him to Pampanga to perform before a jam-packed crowd. “Thank you, RW 95.1 FM, the Golden Dove awardee and Mitsubishi Carworld,” he said.

As early as 6 p.m., Martin Nievera fans trooped to the Laus Group Event Centre, the newest and biggest events venue in Central Luzon.

For his part, Laus Group of Companies Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Levy P. Laus said in a statement: “Seeing and feeling the euphoria of the Centre jam-packed with over 2,000 people and SRO is certainly a big measure of how successful the event was.”

“Bringing joy and pride to our Cabalens, customers and friends added more in that feeling of fulfillment in bringing forth the LGEC to the people of Central Luzon,” he said.
