Zamboanga City fire victims receive financial aid

SEVENTY-six families affected by three separate fire incidents received financial assistance from the Zamboanga City Government.

The beneficiaries of the financial assistance that totaled to P337,000 are the families from the villages of Labuan, Pamucutan and Calarian affected by three separate fire incidents on January 21, March 15 and April 15.

Mayor Maria Isabelle Climaco-Salazar, assisted by personnel from the City Social Welfare and Development Office and the City Treasurer’s Office, led the distribution on Tuesday of the financial assistance to the beneficiaries held at City Hall.

CSWDO Chief Socorro Rojas said that out of the total number of beneficiaries, 55 families with totally damaged homes received P5,000 each.

Rojas said 20 house sharers and renters with totally damaged homes received P3,000, and one house sharer with partially damaged home received P 2,000.
