#SHORTS: Travel advisory issued against southern Cebu; Army in Eastern Mindanao on heightened alert vs terrorists; Coca-Cola faces raps for importing HFCS without SRA clearance

ADVISORY. The British Embassy in Manila issued an updated travel advisory, urging its nationals to avoid traveling to southern Cebu, particularly the towns of Badian and Dalaguete, due to alleged threats of terrorism.

HEIGHTENED ALERT. The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Eastern Mindanao Command (EMC) has elevated its security to a heightened alert status due to the possibility that a lawless armed group would conduct diversionary tactics in their area of responsibility (AOR) amid reports of terrorist threats in Palawan.

COMPLAINT. Officials of Coca-Cola Femsa Philippines are facing an outright smuggling complaint before the Bureau of Customs (BOC) after it allegedly imported high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) without clearance from Sugar Regulatory Administration (SRA) which resulted to a discrepancy in government charges.
