AN ALLEGED big time illegal-drug coddler in Davao Region who was caught in possession of around P300,000 worth of shabu was killed in a police raid conducted by the authorities last May 10.
The Philippine National Police (PNP), Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (Pdea 11) and Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) implemented the search warrant issued against the target at around 11 a.m. at Purok 10, Tindalo, Mainit, Nabunturan in Compostela Valley.
The search warrant was issued by Honorable Judge Cresenciana DC Cruz, Executive Judge of RTC Branch 3, 11th Judicial Region, Nabunturan, Comval Province.
During the raid, suspect Adrian Pulahan Sicad, 40, a resident of New Visayas in Panabo City who is identified by authorities as the eighth high-value target in the region, was killed in the operation after he allegedly resisted the arrest. The suspect allegedly pulled a gun which prompted law enforcers to retaliate.
Operatives were able to confiscate around 25 grams of shabu worth P300,000 including drug paraphernalia.
According to the latest data of the Police Regional Office, since the resumption of the campaign on illegal drugs now dubbed as Oplan Double Barrel Reloaded, they have conducted 2,786 house visitations where they were able to arrest 112 illegal drug suspects. They have also recorded 2,252 drug surrenderees in the period of March 1 to May 10, 2017.
