ANGELES CITY -- Senior citizens, persons with disabilities (PWDs) barangay street sweepers and health workers in Barangay Balibago here that celebrated their birthdays on the month of May received P500 cash gift from the local government unit.
“We started this program in 2008 to recognize and give importance to the natal day of our constituents,” said Rodelio Mamac, chairman of Barangay Balibago.
The birthday celebrants thanked Mamac and the barangay council for appropriating funds for the program.
Mamac said this is one way of giving back to the people particularly those who are serving barangay. (Reynaldo G. Navales)
