P140,000 worth of illegal drugs seized in Silay

AN ESTIMATED P140,000 worth of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as “shabu,” were seized in a drug raid at Purok Kahilwayan, Barangay 2 in Silay City, Negros Occidental Friday night, May 12.

Police identified the suspect as Mark Joseph Santillan.

At around 8:10 p.m., personnel of Silay City Police Station led by Superintendent Willy Diel served a warrant to search Santillan’s house.

The search warrant was issued by Regional Trial Court Branch 69 Judge Ana Celeste Bernad.

Before the search, police conducted a drug bust. They recovered from Santillan several sachets of suspected shabu and drug paraphernalia.

Santilla is detained at the police station.(GYM)
