Zayco still richest board member in Negros Occidental

NEGROS Occidental Fifth District Board Member Pedro Zayco remained the richest member of the Provincial Board with a total net worth of P32.5 million.

In his Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth, Zayco’s total assets as of December 31, 2016 were pegged at P34,066,971 while his liabilities, at P1,477,231, making his net worth P32,589,739.

His real estate properties include agricultural lands, residential and commercial buildings in Kabankalan City which totaled to P24,551,971 while his vehicles, which were listed under his personal personalities, were worth P9,515,000.

In December 2015, Zayco was worth P31.89 million.

Valentino Alonso, president of Philippine Councilors’ League-Negros Occidental Chapter, is the second richest board member.

He declared his net worth at P14,810,812 from his assets of P19,667,979 with P4,857,167 in liabilities.

Third District Board Member David Lacson has a total net worth of P12.5 million, with P14.3 million worth of assets and P1.8 million in liabilities.

First District Board Member Antonio Encarguez has a total assets of P14.5 million and liabilities of P3.5 million, putting his net worth at P11 million.

Other board members who declared their net worth were Salvador Escalante Jr. of Second District with P8,905,195; Manuel Ko of Third District, P8,251,292; Samson Mirhan of Second District, P5,543,811; Jose Maria Alonso of Fourth District, P5.13 million; Alain Gatuslao of Fifth District, P3.9 million; Helen Zafra of Sixth District, P3.647 million; Rommel Debulgado of First District, P2,653,528; Victor Javellana of Fourth District, P1,655,329; and Renato Malabor Jr. of Fifth District, P1.47 million.

Annabelle Bermudo, president of Association of Barangay Captains Federation, is the “poorest” board member with a total net worth of P171,500. She has total assets of P241,500 and P70,000 in liabilities.

Vice Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson, meanwhile, declared his net worth at P4,406,511.
