Mindanao schools dominate March 2017 Licensure Exam for Teachers

GRADUATES from Mindanao-based schools dominated the March 2017 Licensure Exam for Teachers (LET), grabbing most of the spots in the top 10 list of passers in both elementary and secondary levels, the Professional Regulation Commission announced on Monday.

In the elementary level, eight graduates from Mindanao are on the top 10 list.

3. Jessel Mary Pangandian, Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT), 89.60 percent passing rate;

4. Vel Marie Cabaro Palisbo, MSU-IIT, 88.80%

5. Mark Joseph Macanim Timple, Western Mindanao State University-Pagadian City, 88.60%

6. Joy Marie Dinglasa Blasco, MSU-IIT, 88.40%

7. Renelly Omamos Ortega, MSU-IIT, 88.00%

Kathleen Crystyl Longakit, Holy Cross Davao College, 88.00%

Jamaika Ann Serra, University of Southeastern Philippines-Davao City, 88.00%

9. Joanna Marie Tabiliran of Xavier University is on the ninth place.

A total of 5,600 out of 53,915 examinees passed the March 2017 LET elementary level. Of the 5,600 passers, 2,871 are first timers and 2,729 are repeaters.

In the secondary level, eight Mindanaoan graduates dominated the top 10 list.

1. Marian Kaye Fortinez Gallego, University of Mindanao (UM)-Davao City, 92.80 percent passing rate

5. Gerlie Tampos Albia, UM-Digos College, 91.40%

6. Rosa Mae Asaytona Salazar, UM-Davao City, 91.20%

Chrestine Bariquit Torrejos, UM-Davao City, 91.20%

7. Leslae Kay Cataytay Mantilla, UM-Davao City, 91.00%

8. Kristine Clarrisse Planas, UM-Davao City, 90.60%

9. Mark John Tayong Pepito, UM-Davao City, 90.40%

10. Obel Atoc Enerio, Mindanao Sanitarium & Hospital College of Medical Arts Foundation, 90.20%

A total 18,482 out of 72,584 examinees passed the secondary level of the said exam. (SunStar Philippines)
