Another building to rise at Lanang BizPark

REAL Property developer, Dominic & Sons Realty and Development Corp.

(DSRDC) is set to construct another building at the Lanang Business Park or BizPark, which will be called the "Beta Building."

John Irene P. del Campo, manager of the company's property management and administrative services, said in an interview at the sidelines of "Uno! The Bizpark's First Anniversary" celebration that construction of "Beta building" will immediately start as soon as the company’s initial project, the "Alpha Building"’ will be fully lease-out and the master plan for the new project is completed.

"As of now, Alpha building is nearly 100 percent occupied with tenants. So the owner and management are looking forward to embark on another development project, but full details of it are still yet to be announced. Currently the project is still under discussion," she said.

She also said that the DSRDC is looking for two options for the second structure, either another commercial building with different architectural design or a lot lease.

BizPark, the premier project of DSRDC which opened last year now houses a good tenant mix, ranging from local, national and internationally known companies like Blue Post's Boiling Crabs and Shrimps, offices of Solis Tropical Fruits Corp., A&L Cargo Logistics and Asiseals Corp., Gymboree Play and Music, 5th Gear Motorsports, among others.

Five more incoming tenants are expected to occupy the space within the year. These companies and/or companies are San Miguel Foods, Inc., China Shipping, TVEM Links International Co., Lapanday Properties Philippines, Inc. and a government agency office.

BizPark, a two-hectare mixed-use development which is owned by DSRDC and managed by Discovery Real Estate Development Corp. is envisioned as a business, leisure and entertainment landmark in northern part of the city.

Two buildings will occupy the two-hectare portion of the property while the other hectare is planned to be developed as condominium, hotel, IT Park or convention center.

Also, part of DSRDC's development plans is the construction of Davao International Convention and Exhibit Center (DICEC).(ASP)
