5 great things about Skywater Park

ESCAPING the hustle and bustle of the city while not traveling to the farthest outskirt is possible. Skywater Park is the newest destination in the heart of the city that provides one a complete leisure experience. Here are five things that one will surely love about Skywater Park.

Accessible location. This is the only waterpark in the entire country—located on the sixth floor of JCentre Mall in Mandaue City—built above ground and on top of a mall. Its open-air space also offers a panoramic view of the metropolis. There’s no more hassle in booking because Skywater Park caters to walk-ins and at the same time accepts reservations too.

Attractive features and amenities. Covering an area of 4,200 square meters, Skywater Park offers everything one is looking for, from a Children’s Play Area with swimming pool to an infinity pool. The children could swim and play from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Children’s Play Area which consists of a 12-meter-high water house that’s equipped with climbing nets, giant tipping bucket and water slides. For the young at heart, the infinity pool with the view of Cebu’s skyline is the perfect spot. A jacuzzi and swim-up pool bar that serves all sorts of drinks will also add to the fun. Skywater Park also has expansive decks, sunbeds and Cabanas.

Affordable food. Skywater Park provides a delightful dining experience. Bringing food from the outside is not allowed but once one tastes the dishes from its menu, it will be worth it and one will understand why. One could also enjoy the sun setting over the city and being replaced by the city lights at night while dining in its restaurant. It’s an outdoor sky-high dining experience with an ambiance that will surely give one a refreshing break. The best part is the affordable price of its food does not compromise the palatable taste of the dishes.

Accommodating staff. Hospitality is an understatement for the staff and personnel of the Skywater Park. They attend to one’s needs quickly and make sure that one is well taken care of. Even before entering the premises, guests are welcomed by staff. There are also visible lifeguards especially in the Children’s Play Area to ensure that everyone is safely enjoying his stay. The servers of the restaurant are also one call away and willing to go an extra mile to cater to one’s needs. The staff also wears different uniforms for one to be able to easily recognize whom to call depending on one’s needs.

Aesthetic cultural show. This cultural show of the Skywater Park is really something that one should not miss. What makes Pasundayag different from other cultural shows is it presents different stories of the dances from the various Philippine Islands and ends it with a Polynesian fire performance. It aims to provide tourists an experience of the Philippines’ local culture through its dances. This 40-45 minute presentation is participated by the Cebu Royals Performing Group and Fire Attraction. The twist of Pasundayag is that the audience is part of the show too. The dancers will envelop the area and invite guests to join them. This cultural show will take place every Friday at 6:45 p.m. Pasundayag is the way to cap off the night.

There is no more excuse not to get a taste of summer because Skywater Park is just one ride away. A waterpark in the city, a roof deck dining experience with a touch of cultural entertainment, Skywater Park is truly everything that you are looking for. It operates from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Mondays to Thursdays and Sundays, while the fun is extended on Fridays and Saturdays for it will close at 2 a.m. Kaye Santander, STC Mass Communication Intern
