7 suspected drug users nabbed in San Fernando

SEVEN suspected drug users were arrested in a drug den in Barangay Tonggo, San Fernando, Cebu around 4:30 p.m. Saturday, May 27.

Municipal Drug Enforcement Unit operatives led by Senior Inspector Adrian Nalua, the town police chief, arrested Welkin Villarin Hingkiangko, 21; Joel Hudahid Guia, 38; Wilson Labapis Selma, 36; Onel Temblor Generale, 21; Ernanie Candole Barbon, 29; Regie Baclaan Genilza, 27; and Loubert Villarin Hingkiangko, 22.

Drug den maintainer Melvin Temblor Generale escaped, according to police.

Before the arrest, the police station received information about the illegal activity inside a shanty near a piggery.

Nalua's team rushed to the area and found the suspects, whom they believed were about to sniff methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as shabu.

A small pack of shabu, two lighters, tooter, and strips of tin foil were recovered from the suspects. (SunStar Cebu)
