Illegal gasoline trader nabbed in Aloguinsan town

POLICE arrested a suspected illegal trader of gasoline in Barangay Kawasan, Aloguinsan, southern Cebu at 8:30 p.m. Monday, May 29.

Marvin Pasuluhan Pacaldo, 36, was caught after he failed to present permit from the Department of Energy-Central Visayas.

Police seized 10 plastic containers with gasoline worth P10,961. His tricycle was also taken to the police station.

At 8 p.m., the police station received a telephone call from a concern citizen, who informed them about the suspect distributing gasoline in Kawasan onboard his black-white tricycle.

Intelligence operatives dispatched by Inspector Sigmund Freud Cruz, the town police chief, confirmed the report. Then they made arrest.

Pacaldo was charged on Tuesday, May 29, with violation of Presidential Decree 1865, which prohibits illegal selling of petroleum products. (SunStar Cebu)
