China Eastern Airlines opens 4 new routes to Philippines

CHINA Eastern Airlines (MU) announced Thursday, June 1, the opening of four more new routes to the Philippines.

Chen Li Wei, China Eastern Airlines general manager, said the Cebu-Canton/Guangzhou-Cebu will start on June 29. The plane departs Cebu every Thursday and Friday.

Shanghai-Clark-Shanghai and Cebu-Shanghai-Cebu will start on October 18.

The Manila-Kunming-Manila will start on September with three flights a week.

MU is currently serving four flights out of the Philippines. These are Shanghai-Manila-Shanghai, Canton-Laoag- Canton, Chengdu-Cebu-Chengdu and Chengdu-Manila-Chengdu.

MU serves 100 million passengers annually and is the second top airline in passenger volume.

The airline offers non-stop flights to seven North American gateways: New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Honolulu, Toronto, and Vancouver. It serves 1,062 destinations across 177 countries. (MVG)
