PRO-COR bikathon pedals today in La Trinidad

BAGUIO and Benguet's top police riders take center stage Friday, June 2, as the “Padyak Tungo sa Pagbabago 2017” kicks off at the La Trinidad Municipal Police Station.

Prizes and surprises await the top finishers in the amateur category in the bikathon spearheaded by the Police Regional Office in the Cordillera.

The race aims to raise funds in a bid to help drug surenderers in the region which is geared towards bringing awareness to a healthy lifestyle and attaining a stronger sense of camaraderie among the participants.

Two categories featuring Philippine National Police (PNP) personnel and bike enthusiasts will challenge a tough route which ends at the regional office in Camp Bado Dangwa.

Route for PNP personnel will follow the road going to BSU last gate, to Strawberry Swamp, BAPTC – Buyagan Road going up to Wangal Housing passing through Pyramid Cemetery then exit at Valley Bread, Buyagan – Benguet Provincial Capitol to Cruz – Alapang – then finally proceed to the finish line at Camp Bado Dangwa.

The other route will see bike enthusiasts from the starting line going to BSU last gate, to Strawberry Swamp – BAPTC – going up to Longlong road then u-turn at Benguet PPSC Compac - going back to Longlong Road - Puguis Road - Buyagan Road – going up to PENRO-CAR- Windy Hill down to CCDC Buyagan- Benguet Provincial Capitol – Cruz going down to Alapang Junction – to Alno - Bahong Junction to Bahong Proper – going up to Triniville – exit at Lower Tomay- Halsema Road then finally proceed to the finish line at Camp Bado Dangwa.

Special prizes will also be up for grabs for the oldest finisher, top lady finisher and fastest biker award for PNP personnel.
