Notorious drug pusher slain in Angeles City

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga -- An alleged notorious drug pusher was killed during an exchange of firefight with policemen at Lourdes Northwest, Angeles City, Wednesday, May 31.

Senior Superintendent Patrick Villacorte, Angeles City police acting city director, identified the fatality as Randy Maclang, Sr., alias Doy, 34, a resident of Arellano Street, Barangay Lourdes Northwest.

Villacorte said that the Drug Enforcement Unit and Intelligence Branch team led by Superintendent Nestor Chavez conducted the drug bust against Maclang in Barangay Pampang.

When the suspect sensed that he was dealing with a police officer, he ran away and then threw a hand grenade but did not explode.
