Man sued for murder, acts of lasciviousness

A MAN is facing charges for allegedly killing an old woman and sexually harassing an 11-year-old girl in Davao City last May 20.

Charged with murder and acts of lasciviousness, in relation to The Anti-Child Abuse Law, is Danilo dela Peña.

In a two-page resolution dated May 29, prosecutor Panfilo Junior Lovitos found probable cause to charge the accused based on the complaint filed by the 11-year-old victim.

A record showed that dela Peña was arrested by policemen following the report that he stabbed Elfie Jandayan Amper, 53.

Amper was allegedly stabbed to death by the accused after she confronted him for sexually harassing the minor.

According to the complainants, the accused also attacked and attempted to stab them but they were able to run away and hurriedly sought for police assistance.

It was also stated that dela Peña continuously attacked and stabbed Amper while the latter was already wounded and lying on the floor.
