THE 16th APM Dalawahan Team Chess Tournament will unwrap on June 11 at Damosa Market Basket, in Lanang, Davao City.
Arbiter Ely Acas, who is also one of the founders of the event, in his Facebook post, stated that the Swiss System Format chess fest must be played by two players with an average rating of 2050.
Players with 1799 below and unrated players will be given 1800 rating.
"Higher rated player must play on board one," Acas said.
Team tie-breaks will be observed the following: total match points, direct encounter, Buchholz and Sonneborn Berger.
Individual tie-breaks, however, will be direct encounter, Buchholz, Sonneborn Berger and Team Ranking.
The registration starts at 10:00 a.m. on the game day with a registration fee of P500 per team.
The champion will receive P5,000 courtesy of Jubrealle88 Fashion Bags while the next three places will have P3,000, P2,000 and P1,500.
Special awards will also be given to top board 1 and top board 2 players.
