Remains of solon's wife returned in Mexico town today

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- The remains of Elizabeth Panlilio-Gonzales, wife of Pampanga Representative Aurelio Gonzales, Jr., will be returned home in Mexico town Tuesday, June 6.

One of the congressman's staff said that this would give friends and relatives of the Gonzales and Panlilio families time to pay their respects.

Elizabeth's remains were earlier at Heritage Memorial Park in Taguig City. The remains will be transferred to the Anao Parish Church.

Interment will be this Thursday, June 8.

Elizabeth, 57, is among the 37 people, who died in the attack at the Resorts World Manila in Pasay City on Friday, June 2.

Friends of Elizabeth posted messages of grief and condolences on Elizabeth's page as well as on the Facebook account of her husband.

Staff and former employees of the Gonzales family described Elizabeth as a soft spoken and kind person who always stood behind her husband's political career.

Earlier on Sunday, President Duterte condoled with Representative Gonzales over his wife’s death, after visiting wounded soldiers in Cagayan de Oro City.
