ISIS. The Armed Forces of the Philippines will ask its counterpart in Indonesia how they got the number of Islamic militants allegedly operating in the country, stressing that there is "no proof yet of the presence of foreign fighters."

MARTIAL LAW. MalacaƱang welcomed Monday the move of the "independent minority bloc" in the House of Representatives to file a petition before the Supreme Court challenging the constitutionality of President Rodrigo Duterte's declaration of martial rule in Mindanao.

CLASSROOMS. At least 32 school buildings are expected to be completed within the school year to address classroom shortage in Cebu City, an official of the Department of Education (DepEd)-Central Visayas said.
