POP Princess Sarah Geronimo will star in the upcoming local adaptation of hit Korean movie "Miss Granny."
This was reported by entertainment editor Salve Asis on her column for Pilipino Star Ngayon last Saturday, June 3.
According to Asis, Viva's big boss Vic del Rosario personally confirmed to her that the singer/actress will top bill the Filipino adaptation of the 2014 movie.
The said project will be released by Viva Films as part of their anniversary offerings in November.
"Miss Granny" tells the story of a woman in her 70s who magically finds herself trapped in a 20-year-old body.
The comedy-drama movie was headlined by Shim Eun-kyung and Na Moon-hee. It already has a Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai, Indonesian, Japanese, and Indian versions.
Del Rosario added that "Miss Granny" will soon be adapted in English and Spanish languages.
Meanwhile, Geronimo is currently busy with "The Voice of the Philippines Teen edition" and her fourth movie with John Lloyd Cruz entitled "Dear Future Husband."
The actress and Cruz's project is slated for a July 2017 release. (SunStar Philippines)
