A FOOD corporation will conduct a Producers Forum and food and livelihood exposition in this city on June 18-19, 2015 to highlight partners’ progress in the Visayas after the Typhoon Yolanda disaster.

The forum will also discuss on how assistance helped the victims of typhoon Yolanda rebuild their lives.

Gregory Greco Canoy, Corporate Social Responsibility Staff of Pilmico Foods Corp., said the Bangon Visayas Campaign launched by the firm covers 14 Pilmico agriposts, 126 piglets and 177 egg machines.

Pilmico had launched a series of advocacy and sustainable livelihood program geared to areas under poverty, tragedy and conflict. It is a modest support in the forms of relief operation, rehabilitation efforts and creation of business opportunities to affected families in the Visayas.

In Iloilo, a Producers Forum will be held on June 18 while the food and livelihood expo “Mahalin Pagkain Atin (MPA) will be held on June 19 at the Jaro covered gym.

Selected Iloilo families will be awarded from the hog dispersal of 2 piglets with one cycle feed consumption and sets of egg machines containing 48 heads of ready to lay chicken with one month feed consumption.

Other areas to benefit from Pilmico are Bohol with 14 agriposts and 66 piglets, North Cebu with 30 egg machines, Ormoc City with 55 egg machines, Palo, Leyte with 25 egg machines, Carigara, Leyte with 25 egg machines, Baybay, Leyte with 25 egg machines, Roxas City, Capiz with 10 piglets and 6 egg machines, Aeta Pampanga with 5 egg machines, Tacloban and Samar with 10 piglets and 6 egg machines, and Nueva Ecija with 40 piglets.
