2 drug pushers arrested in Consolacion drug bust

POLICE caught two suspected drug pushers, including a minor, in a drug bust in Sto. Niño, Upper Lamac, Consolacion, northern Cebu at 12:45 a.m., Tuesday, June 6.

Anjo Sasing Demecillo, 28, and his 17-year-old companion yielded 21 grams of white crystals believed to be methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as "shabu," worth P247,800, a value set by the Dangerous Drugs Board.

Demecillo is a newly identified drug pusher in the town and was not included in the old list of drug personalities.

The minor was brought to the local social welfare office. She will be charged if the welfare officer issues a certification that she is aware of what she is doing.

Demecillo will face a complaint for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Selling shabu is a non-bailable offense. (KAL/SunStar Cebu)
