Place for champions

FOR most people, their game face is on these days—especially during mornings, as long-time and casual basketball enthusiasts are tuned in to the NBA Finals. Every game would be so much fun and breathtaking if one is watching it with fellow enthusiasts in an exciting and enthralling environment like a sports cafe.

Raphael’s Sports Cafe is the only luxury sports bar in Cebu that showcases sports on high-definition televisions with a modern style of casual dining and a menu inspired by the Texan and Mexican cuisine, created by its executive chef, Rubart Alesna.

The menu features appetizing flavors of U.S. grade steaks and superb seafood through its best-selling dishes such as Rib-eye Steak, Lamb Chops, Classic Buffalo Wings, Homemade Chili, Grilled Salmon Belly and its well-known Signature Baby Back Ribs.

The cafe also offers appetizers and snacks like the crowd favorite Raphael’s burger, fries, salads, pastas, sandwiches and hotdogs as well as desserts including Brownie ala Mode, S’mores Pie and Chocolate Sphere. Drinks and cocktails are also available to keep the boys company while watching their favorite sports on high-definition televisions.

The sports-themed cafe is owned by a foodie and sports enthusiast family. Managed by Ralph Christian Senining, together with his brother Renzo Theodore Senining, the family’s love for food and sports made them decide to put food and sports in one place. The sports cafe is named after their youngest member, Raphael, who is very active in sports and who would take over the business in the future.

During its grand opening, champions in their respective fields—Raphael “Paeng Nepomuceno and Ramon “El Presidente” Fernandez—were present to show their support the cafe and sign their respective paintings on the cafe’s wall. Marymil M. Cabrera

rLocation: Raphael’s Sports Cafe is located on the third floor of the Skypark in SM Seaside City Cebu. It is usually open during mall hours from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. but during special matches, it opens earlier and closes late depending on the game schedule.
