Policewoman, Abu Sayyaf member plead not guilty

ABU Sayyaf bomb expert Reener Lou Dungon and Supt. Ma. Cristina Nobleza, his lover, pleaded not guilty to the obstruction of justice and disobedience to authorities cases filed against them at the Municipal Circuit Trial Court (MCTC) in Tubigon, Bohol.

Dungon and Nobleza entered their plea during their arraignment before the sala of Judge Erwin Ucat, of the MCTC Branch 2.

Prosecutor Margie Tan-Alvaro indicted Nobleza for obstruction of justice. The prosecutor also found evidence to charge Dungon with obstruction of justice and resistance and disobedience to authorities.

Dungon and Nobleza filed a motion asking Judge Ucat to allow them to post bail, pending trial of their cases. The judge has yet to rule on the motion.

A dyTR report said Dungon and Nobleza arrived on a commercial flight from Crame to the Tagbilaran airport.

Flanked with armed operatives in full battle gear, the two wore jackets and hid under their hoodies.

When asked for their reaction to President Rodrigo Duterte’s threat to hang them publicly, Dungon was tight-lipped while Nobleza’s eyes widened. She didn’t answer and just shook her head.
