Malagos chocolates in Starbucks stores

MALAGOS Agri-Ventures Corporations’ 65 percent dark chocolate is now available in 300 Starbucks Philippines branches nationwide.

The 65 percent dark chocolate was launched by the homegrown company last April.

“We are grateful to Starbucks for selling our products because it is really a great help to our farmers,” Malagos Agri-Ventures Corporation sales and marketing Head Rex Victor Puentespina said in a phone interview with Sun Star Davao.

The 25-gram 65 percent dark chocolate had previously captured the hearts of social media.

“The perfect accessory to my Americano: 65 percent dark chocolate, single-origin, quality Trinitario cacao beans from Mount Talomo, Davao, Philippines,” Instagram user pinoy food writer said.

Another Instagram user by the name of aimeebasas was also elated to see Starbucks partnering with local chocolate producers to have the chocolate offered in their stores.

When asked about the chocolate’s performance as far as the partner-coffee shop is concerned, Puentespina said it is doing very well with Starbucks Philippines placing another order from them.

“A lot of people loved it especially when they paired it with their ordered Starbucks coffee,” Puentespina said.

Other Malagos chocolate products also available in Starbucks Philippines are: Single-Origin Chocolate Chip Cookie made with Malagos chocolate and coco sugar.
