Man sued for theft in Davao City mall

A MAN is facing charges before the court for allegedly stealing garments at the NCCC Mall in Uyanguren, Davao City on May 8, Monday.

Charged with theft is Andrian Secriss Cuevos.

In a resolution dated May 16, prosecutor Irene Joy Tala-Montero found probable cause to charge the accused based on the complaint filed by the NCCC department store.

Department store security guard Danilo Dalogdog, in his affidavit, alleged that he personally saw the accused took a Zen performance brand pants worth P1,198 from a stall.

According to the affidavit, the accused went to the fitting room and got out wearing the pants. He went around and took a Volunteer Sea Hawk brand sling bag worth P799, wore it casually and exited from the store.

When the accused was asked for the receipt of the items he wore, he could not present any, prompting the guard to hold and endorse him to their office for documentation.

The store then sought for police assistance.
