WITH many cooking-themed television shows nowadays and the food porn posts on social media, many of us are now wanting to go into cooking, be it a self taught or trained by a chef.
However, not everyone has the time and resources to go to a culinary school. Thanks to the internet, we are able to learn cooking and new recipes by simply opening our web browser and going to our favorite food or cooking website. For those who do not know where to check out new recipes or cooking techniques, here are websites and Youtube channels you can visit:
1. BuzzFeed Food (www.buzzfeed.com/food)
BuzzFeed is one of the websites I go to for some light reading, though there are also serious articles you can come across. But one of the things I enjoy most about this site is their BuzzFeed Food section. The section features different delicious recipes, food taste videos, funny posts on food, and restaurants to visit or must-taste food in different countries. If you want to get regular recipes you can sign up for their Food newsletter. 2. I am a Food Blog (iamafoodblog.com)
The website's design is beautiful, the photos of the food are breathtaking, and the recipes are mouthwatering. As I read through the articles in this website, what I like best about the posts is that it has a personal touch in it. Steph seems like she is just sitting in one corner while telling you her stories and how to cook this certain recipe. You read her posts, you feel comfortable, you feel like she is your friend who wants you to love and celebrate the awesomeness of food. From recipes to food guides to food finds, this is one awesome site for foodies, those who love to cook, and those madly in love with food.
Last year was a great year for I am a Food Blog creator Stephanie Le as the blog recently won Saveur Magazine's 2014 Editors' Choice for Best Cooking Blog and Food Blog of the Year. She also launched her cook book last year, Easy Gourment, which can be ordered at Amazon, Barnes and Nobles, Books-A-Millon, and Indie Bound.

r3. Sorted Food (www.youtube.com/user/sortedfood)
rThis is a channel many young adults and yuppies would love; the food recipes featured here would be something our demographic would dig into. Their videos are not boring and fun to watch with the very young and hip vibe coming out of the videos with its background music and set design. The hosts are also young, funny, and British. Other than that, in their recipe videos, the instructions are clear and easy to follow. Visit their website, sortedfood.com, for more recipes.

r4. Laura In the Kitchen (www.youtube.com/user/LauraVitalesKitchen)
Mothers and those who enjoy cooking will surely love this channel by Laura Vitale. With more than 1,501 videos, the food channel features a wide range of recipes on appetizers, side dishes, desserts, drinks, smoothies, salads, classic Italian recipes, and the list goes on. What I like about her instructional videos is they are easy to follow and are clear. She is also fun to listen to, it seems like she is in your kitchen guiding you through the recipe.
